33-26 KING PIN BEARING SCALE

The C-690 king pin bearing scale is used to adjust the preload on the steering knuckle king pin bearings on all Willys four wheel drive Jeep vehicles. The preload is established at 12 to 16 pounds by adding or removing the king pin bearing shims. The hook end of the scale is placed into the tie rod socket hole on the steering knuckle and a steady pull with this scale indicates the preload. This is an essential tool to maintain smooth, safe and easy steering function. Made in the USA. Refer to your service manual for the correct tension of the steering knuckle. You can weigh your fish and weed with this tool too!
