33-35 W-115 WATER PUMP FAN HUB (PULLEY) PULLER TOOL
 
This tool is used to remove the water pump fan hub pulleys on all L-4-124 AND F-4-134 engines. It will not damage the pulley or the shaft and bearing assembly when properly used. This tool is absolute requirement to properly rebuild the 4-134 engine water pumps.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH THE W-115 WATER PUMP FAN HUB (PULLEY) PULLER

1. Remove the fan cooling belt from the engine.

2. Remove the four 1/4"-20 screws from the front water pump.

3. Remove the cooling fan from the water pump. A simple tap with a hammer will easily accompish this.

4. Remove the four (4) 5/16" screws from the water pump housing.

5. Remove the water pump from the engine. A few taps with a hammer will easily accompish this. 

6. Put the water pump in a heavy duty vise securing it to the water pump housing. 

7. Re-thread the four 1/4"-20 screw holes on the pulley hub with the correct machine tap tool.

8. Install the W-115 puller hub onto the pulley hub by centering it on the pulley then screw the four supplied 1/4"-20 screws through the tool and into the pulley hub until it is flush and secured to the pulley hub. 

9. Install the 1/2"-13" x 3" drive bolt into the tool with a 3/4" wrench. Make sure the drive bolt is centered on the bearing shaft. Hold the square nut on center of the puller tool with a 13/16" open end wrench. Slowly pull the pulley hub and puller tool assembly from the water pump. This should be done by hand and not with an impact wrench.

10. Remove the W-115 puller assembly from the pulley. The bearing shaft can now be driven out through the rear of the water pump with a press after removing the water pump bearing retainer spring from the side of the water pump housing.
