Doorway safety straps were standard issue on the MB and GPW for both the driver and the passanger. The M151 MUTT had one on the passenger side. The strap assembly has a steel hook that attaches to an eye bolt on the vehicle dashboard.
On the MB and GPW the rear end of the strap attaches to a swiveling bracket attached to a special shouldered bolt. The special bolt is attached to the top bow retaining brackets on the sides of the vehicle behind the front seats.
On the M151 vehicles the rear end of the strap attaches to a footman loop welded to the passanger seat frame back.
Our doorway safety straps can be installed on all open Jeep vehicles from 1942 to current TJ and YJ's
You will have to choices for the rear attachment, either the body side mounted swivel or a footman loop to attach to the vehicle body side or the seat frame.
