668003 VOLTAGE REDUCER 12-VOLT TO 6-VOLT

Our 668003 voltage reducer allows you to use your original 6-volt electrical components with an upgraded 12-volt system. Typical components will be 6-volt motors, heaters, blowers, fans and wiper motors. This voltage reducer is not designed to use with your electrical gauges, instruements, radios and lighting components. They carry a 4-amp maximum current with 1.5 Ohm resistance, 25 watts. One of these voltage reducers is required for each individual component. They are designed to mount on any flat surface through a 7/16" hole with a supplied 7/16"-28 nut. The resistor coil is embedded into a ceramic insulator for heat dissipation, uses two screw type terminals. A bracket is included for mounting under the dashboard.

A-215722 TRAILER LIGHT RESISTOR KIT 12-VOLT TO 6-VOLT

Our A-215722 Trailer Light Resistor Kit is a little gem left over from the big one in 1942. This kit was used on vehicles that were equipped with 12-volt electrical systems to allow them to tow trailers having 6-volt equipment to be attached to the vehicle having 12-volt equipment. This kit is ideal for those who have vehicles that have been upgraded to 12-volts and still wish to use the original functional 6-volt lighting. Although the kit was origianlly designed for trailer lights, it can also be used for the vehicle tail lights and front lights to include head lights, blackout marker lights and blackout drive lights that may only be available as 6-volt units. The kits include the resistor, wiring, mounting hardware and detailed instructions
